TONNARA DI SCOPELLOOur wedding will be held at Tonnara di Scopello, a historic former tuna fishery tucked into a private bay on the north-western coast of Sicily. Dating back to the 13th century, the Tonnara is a cluster of weathered stone buildings, sun-bleached courtyards and Mediterranean gardens, all set against the dramatic sea stacks (faraglioni) that rise straight out of the turquoise water. It sits just below the village of Scopello and on the edge of the Zingaro Nature Reserve, one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Italy.
Expect bare feet on warm stone, long lunches in the shade, swims between ceremonies, and evenings that stretch late into the night. The venue has its own private beach, a Mediterranean garden overlooking the sea, and a historic boat storehouse that we'll be turning into the after-party space. There's no dress code more important than "something you can dance in" and ideally something you don't mind getting a little sandy.
We can't wait to share this magical, slightly out-of-time corner of Sicily with you.
ScopelloScopello is a very small village and is best enjoyed at a slow pace.

Swimming and relaxing at the Tonnara
Shopping for local ceramics in town
Hiking in the Zingaro Nature Reserve (enclosed shoes recommended)
Visiting the Tonnara museum
Hiring a boat
