Everything you
Need to know:What is the best airport to fly into?
The closest airport is Palermo Falcone–Borsellino Airport (PMO), approximately 1 hour by car.
Another option is Trapani–Birgi Airport (TPS), about 50 minutes away, with fewer international flights.
Do I need a visa to travel to Italy?
Guests traveling on UK, US, or Australian passports do not currently need a visa for short tourist stays in Italy (up to 90 days within the Schengen Area).
Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.
How do I get to Scopello?
The easiest way to get around Sicily is by renting a car.
Taxis and private transfers are also available from both Palermo and Trapani airports. We’ll share recommended transfer services closer to the date. Scopello is an easy 60 minute drive from Palermo, so you can fly in and book a transfer or hire a caR. you don't necessarily need a car if you're staying at the Tonnara (the town is walking distance), but it's not bad to have. There's plenty of guest parking, too. Stone paths and uneven surfaces are common, so comfortable footwear is advised.
Scopello, Castellammare del Golfo, and nearby coastal towns offer a range of hotels, villas, and Airbnbs.
